Privacy Policy
The short version
Free Cash Calculator is built to need almost none of your data. The calculators run entirely in your browser, so the numbers you type stay on your device and are never sent to us. There are no accounts and no logins. We use Google Analytics to measure traffic (cookieless for EU, UK, and Swiss visitors unless they consent), and we do not sell your personal information. The only time you hand us personal information is if you choose to use the contact form, and we keep those messages only long enough to reply. This page explains the details, including the technical logs our host keeps and the advertising that will support the free site once it goes live.

1. Who we are
Free Cash Calculator (the "site") is operated by its independent publisher ("we," "us," or "our"), based in the United States. For any privacy question or request, including asking who operates the site, contact us at hello@freecashcalculator.com or through the contact page.
We are the controller of the small amount of personal information described here, meaning the party that decides how it is handled.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to freecashcalculator.com and the calculators and pages served on it. It does not apply to other websites you reach through links from our pages, or to any advertiser or service that operates under its own privacy policy. The site is a general-audience, US-based service; some visitors come from other countries, and we have written this policy to cover them where it reasonably applies.
3. Information we collect
We collect very little. The table below lists everything, its source, why we have it, and how long we keep it. Prose explanations follow in the sections after.
| Information | Where it comes from | Why we have it | Who receives it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Contact form details: your name, email address, subject, and message | You, when you submit the contact form | To read your message and reply | Cloudflare (in transit) and our email provider, Google, which hosts our inbox | About one week after your request is resolved, then deleted |
| Anti-abuse data: your IP address (used only in the moment) and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token | Automatically, when you submit the contact form | To limit spam and confirm the form was not submitted by a bot | Cloudflare | Not stored by us; the IP is used only to rate-limit at the time of submission |
| Server request data: IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time | Automatically, on every visit | To deliver the pages, keep the site secure, and prevent abuse | Cloudflare, our hosting provider | Cloudflare keeps short-lived operational logs; Google Analytics measures aggregate traffic (cookieless in the EU, UK, and Switzerland unless you consent) |
| Advertising data: identifiers set by our advertising partners when ads are shown or an outbound partner link is clicked | Automatically, once advertising is enabled | To display ads that support the free site and to attribute referrals | Our advertising and affiliate partners (independent companies) | Set and kept by those partners under their own policies |
We do not collect: account or profile data, passwords, payment or card details, precise location, biometric data, health data, government identifiers, or the contents of your device. We do not build advertising or tracking profiles of you ourselves.
4. Calculator inputs stay on your device
Everything you type into a calculator (amounts, rates, timelines, and the like) is processed on your own device by JavaScript running in your browser. Those values are never sent to us or to anyone else. Some calculators put your inputs into the page address so you can bookmark or share a result; that address is only sent somewhere if you choose to copy and share it. Those values stay in your own browser's address bar and history until you clear them or open the calculator at its plain address, and they are never stored on our servers. On a shared device, clearing your browser history removes them.
5. How we use information and our legal bases
- To answer you. We use your contact-form details to read your message and respond. For visitors in regions with a "legal basis" requirement (such as the EU/UK), our basis is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in helping you.
- To keep the site running and secure. We use server request data and anti-abuse data to serve pages, prevent spam and attacks, and diagnose problems. Our basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working site.
- To fund the free service through advertising. When advertising is enabled, our partners use advertising data to show and measure ads. See the advertising section for details and choices.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not use it to train artificial-intelligence systems.
7. Advertising
Free Cash Calculator is free, is designed to be supported by advertising, and may also earn commissions when you use certain outbound partner links. Advertising is not yet live on the site; when it launches it will work as described here, provided by independent companies. We show contextual ads (matched to the page topic), not ads built from a profile of your activity across the web. Ads and paid links are clearly labeled, and they never change the math a calculator produces or which result it shows. Our advertising partners are separate controllers of any data their tags collect, and their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies. Where an ad partner offers a personalized-ads opt-out, you can also manage advertising choices through industry tools such as the ones at your ad partner's help pages. Our editorial and commercial practices are described further on the disclosure page.
10. How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages for about one week after your question is resolved, then delete them, unless we need to keep a message longer to handle a dispute or meet a legal obligation. We do not retain calculator inputs (they never reach us). Our contact-form function and Cloudflare's network keep short-lived operational logs, such as request metadata and any error messages, which are limited to a brief description and never include the contents of your message. These are retained only briefly by Cloudflare. We use Google Analytics for aggregate traffic only and keep no separate long-term log of individual visitors. A fuller breakdown is kept in our internal data-retention schedule.
11. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure, and is a static site with no user database to breach. The contact form is protected by bot verification and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but the site is deliberately built to hold as little personal information as possible, which is the strongest protection of all. Please do not send sensitive information (such as government IDs, financial-account numbers, or health details) through the contact form.
12. International visitors and data transfers
We are based in the United States, and the site is hosted on Cloudflare's global network, so information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with data-transfer rules, please be aware that our providers (Cloudflare and Google) rely on recognized transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you would like more detail about a specific transfer, contact us.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy, to opt out of certain processing, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Because we hold so little (essentially only a contact message you chose to send us, for about a week), most requests are simple to honor. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws, and visitors from the EU/UK, can make these requests as described below, and we honor them regardless of where you live where we reasonably can.
14. How to exercise your rights
Email hello@freecashcalculator.com or use the contact page and tell us what you would like to do. Because we do not maintain accounts, we verify a request by corresponding with you at the email address involved; we ask only for the minimum needed to confirm your request and locate any message. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and we may ask the agent for proof of authorization. We will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may ask us to reconsider.
15. Global Privacy Control and opt-out signals
Some browsers and extensions send an opt-out preference signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently nothing for such a signal to opt you out of on our own site. If we ever introduce advertising that would qualify as a "sale" or "share," we will treat a recognized opt-out signal as a valid request to opt out.
16. Children's privacy
Free Cash Calculator is a general-audience site intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, contact us and we will delete it.
17. Third-party links
Our pages link to outside resources, such as government agencies in the "Sources" sections of calculators, and, when advertising is enabled, to advertisers and partners. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
18. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, such as introducing personalized advertising, we will make the change clear and, where the law requires, obtain any necessary consent before it takes effect. We will not apply material changes retroactively to information already collected without a lawful basis.
19. Contact and complaints
Questions, requests, or concerns about privacy are welcome at hello@freecashcalculator.com or through the contact page. If you are in the EU/UK and believe we have not resolved your concern, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority; we would appreciate the chance to address it first.
