Cookie Policy
The short version
FreeCashCalculator is built to need almost nothing from your browser. Today the site sets no cookies of its own and no advertising cookies. The only cookies in play are the strictly necessary ones our host uses to keep the site and the contact form secure. The numbers you type into a calculator stay on your device. When advertising goes live, ad partners may set cookies for contextual (non-personalized) ads, and this page and the banner will be updated so you can accept or decline. Nothing you do with cookies changes the math.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website or a third party stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, and tags. They can be "strictly necessary" (needed for the site to work or stay secure), or they can be used for analytics or advertising. This page uses "cookies" as a shorthand for all of these.
2. Our approach
We keep this to the minimum. The calculators run entirely in your browser, so most of what a typical site tracks does not apply here. We do not set our own analytics or advertising cookies, we run no first-party tracking, and we build no profiles of you. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.
3. Cookies we use today
Right now the site uses only strictly necessary cookies, set by our infrastructure provider to deliver the site and protect the contact form. They are not used to track you across sites or to show ads.
| Cookie or technology | Set by | Purpose | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cloudflare (contact page only) | Confirm a human is submitting the form, without tracking you | Strictly necessary |
Cloudflare security cookies (for example __cf_bm, cf_clearance) | Cloudflare | Protect the site from bots and abuse and keep it available | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, but you can still block them in your browser. Blocking the security cookie may stop the contact form from working.
4. Local storage we use
A couple of things are stored on your device using local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- Calculator inputs. Some calculators mirror your inputs into the page link so a result can be shared. These stay on your device unless you share the link.
- Your cookie choice. When you accept or decline in the cookie banner, we save that choice in local storage (as
fcc-consent) so we do not ask again on every visit. Clearing your browser storage resets it.
5. Cookies when advertising launches
The site is designed to be supported by advertising. It is not live yet, and there are no ad cookies today. When advertising is enabled:
- Ads will be contextual (chosen from the page topic, not a profile of your browsing).
- Ad partners are independent companies that may set their own cookies under their own policies.
- This page and the banner will be updated, and where required we will ask for consent before any non-essential advertising cookie is set. Personalized advertising would require a further update and your consent.
We will not enable non-essential advertising cookies for a visitor who has declined.
6. How to manage cookies
You control cookies in several ways:
- Our banner. Accept or decline in the cookie notice. You can change your choice any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer.
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Search your browser's help for "cookies."
- Opt-out tools. Once advertising is live, industry tools such as the ones at youradchoices.com and youronlinechoices.eu let you opt out of many ad cookies.
7. Consent and Global Privacy Control
Because we currently set no advertising or analytics cookies, there is nothing for a consent signal to opt you out of on our site today. If that changes, we will honor recognized opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), where they apply. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
8. Whether we sell or share your information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA and similar US state laws. Contextual advertising does not involve that kind of sharing. Any change would be preceded by the required notices and opt-out options.
9. Changes to this policy
We will update this page as the site's use of cookies evolves, especially before advertising goes live, and we will update the date above. Significant changes will be made clear.
